Let’s dive into some of the most common questions about newborn photography.
“What should I look for when hiring a newborn photographer?”
It’s important to choose a photographer who specializes in newborn photography and has experience working with infants. I’m dedicated to providing a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for you and your baby. I understand the importance of capturing these early moments, and I take pride in creating beautiful, timeless memories that you’ll cherish for years to come.
“What can I expect during a newborn photography session?”
My newborn photography sessions are very laid back and casual. I’ll spend the first few minutes getting to know everyone and looking around at the different locations in your home where we might take photos. This usually includes the living room, the nursery, and the master bedroom (but it’s all based on where the best natural light is). My style is a combination of natural lifestyle shots and some guided newborn and family portraits. The session will feature images of baby alone, Mom with baby, Dad with baby and photos of the whole family together. I don’t use props during my sessions, so your photos will remain timeless through the years.
“What if my home isn’t photo-worthy?”
You don’t have to worry about having your house super clean or anything- we can always move anything that’s distracting in the background of the photographs. I will also send a guide closer to your session on how to help prepare for your photos.
“When will I get my photos?”
A week after your session, you will receive a link to your proofing gallery so you can select your favorite images. Once you select your images you will receive your final, hand-edited images within 2 weeks.
You will be able to download these photos to your computer as high resolution files. And you’ll have unlimited download/ printing rights to these images.
“How much does newborn photography cost?”
My newborn photography sessions are $395 and include (30) high-resolution digital images. You can purchase additional images however for $10/image if you find more than 30 favorites!
